Three computer classes — Introduction to Computers Windows 10, Microsoft Excel, and Fundamentals for Computers — and three workshops — One-on-One Computer Support, Tips & Tricks: iPhone & iPad, and Computer Maintenance — will be taught in May for people ages 50 and older at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.

The University of Central Arkansas, along with The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), is proud to announce that the profession of occupational therapy is turning 100 years old this year.
The University of Central Arkansas Department of Occupational Therapy will celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the profession with an event, “Cheers to 100 Years,” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 at UCA Downtown, 1105 Oak Street.
Mitesh P. Lotia, MD, has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) as a movement disorder neurologist with a special interest in Tourette syndrome and will see patients in the Movement Disorder Clinic.
CHI St. Vincent Infirmary has again been named as one of the “100 Great Hospitals in America,” in an annual listing compiled by Becker’s Hospital Review. CHI St. Vincent Infirmary is the only Arkansas hospital to be listed in 2017.
The hospitals named to the list are selected based on their leadership in medical innovation, superior patient care and high-quality clinical research.
Keith Olsen, PharmD, dean of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy, was invested April 6 as the recipient of the College of Pharmacy Dean’s Chair.
Olsen was presented with a medallion commemorating the investiture by UAMS Chancellor Dan Rahn, MD, and Stephanie Gardner, PharmD, EdD, UAMS senior vice chancellor for academic affairs and provost.
