Three computer classes — Introduction to Computers Windows 10, Microsoft Excel, and Fundamentals for Computers — and three workshops — One-on-One Computer Support, Tips & Tricks: iPhone & iPad, and Computer Maintenance — will be taught in May for people ages 50 and older at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.
Courses begin May 1. The schedule is:
- One-on-One Computer Support, Mondays and Wednesdays, May 1-31, Call for appointment.
- Fundamentals for Computers, Mondays and Wednesdays, May 1-24, 10 a.m. – noon.
- Microsoft Excel, Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 2-25, 10 a.m. to noon.
- Introduction to Computers Windows 10, Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 2-25, 1-3 p.m.
- Computer Maintenance, May 8, 1-3 p.m.
- Tips & Tricks: iPhone & iPad, May 22, 24 and 26, 1-3 p.m.
Course fees for 16 hours of instruction are $45 and manuals are $15. The cost for workshops varies depending on the number and length of classes. The program is administered by SeniorNet, a nonprofit volunteer group. Classes are in Room 2156 at the UAMS Institute on Aging, 629 Jack Stephens Drive, Little Rock.
