The Arkansas Department of Children's Service, Division of Children and Family Services is hosting a Rally to End Child Abuse on April 19 on the steps of the Arkansas State Capitol.

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. and the public is invited to attend.

CARTI has been named the recipient of a $20,000 grant from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Arkansas Affiliate to fund a resource program designed to benefit low-income CARTI breast cancer patients throughout Arkansas.

“We are always proud of the opportunity to help the women in our state with grant funds,” said Karolyn Taylor, Komen Arkansas Mission Director.

To help Arkansans learn how to survive stroke, the Arkansas Travelers are making May 4 “Strike Out Stroke Night” in partnership with AR SAVES, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS)-led statewide stroke program.

A helicopter will bring Sanjeeva Reddy Onteddu, MD, AR SAVES medical director, to North Little Rock’s Dickey-Stephens Park to deliver baseballs for the game’s first-pitch ceremony, all strikes against stroke.
