A team of University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) research scientists recently was awarded a $2.97 million, five-year grant by the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases to investigate a possible treatment for the long-term health effects from injury caused by exposure to high levels of radiation.

Dr. Joseph Ivy will begin seeing patients twice a month as part of a new multi-disciplinary clinic for gynecologic oncology patients at the CARTI Cancer Center in Little Rock.
