The Family Medicine Spring Review at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will offer up to 22.75 hours of content for family physicians, internists, nurses, pharmacists, and other medical professionals May 1-3. The event includes a focus on women’s health, the opioid epidemic, and colorectal cancer.

The conference will be held on the 12th floor of the UAMS Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute.

Dr. Ben Bordador, an internal medicine physician, has joined the CHI St. Vincent Little Rock Diagnostic Clinic.

Bordador, a hospitalist with the CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs’s medical staff since 2011, also served as the co-medical director for the Christus Dubuis Hospital of Hot Springs from December of 2014 through November of 2015.

In promoting the planned Franklin Community Health Complex, the Community Health Centers of Arkansas welcomes to an upcoming fundraiser two celebrity chefs—Chef Jeff Henderson, a former Food Network chef, and prominent local chef Donnie Ferneau. LaShannon Spencer, chief executive officer at Community Health Centers of Arkansas (CHCA), said Henderson, a former drug dealer who transformed his life and became a nationally renowned chef, will serve as master of ceremonies for the CHCA’s “Hunger Banquet,” which will raise money and awareness for Franklin.
