The Schmieding Foundation, Inc. has donated $1 million to the campaign to construct and outfit Arkansas Children’s Northwest in Springdale. The gift will name the occupational and physical therapy gym located at Arkansas Children’s Northwest. 

“Lawrence Schmieding loved to help children in need,” explained Gilda Underwood, President of the Schmieding Foundation. “He would be so pleased to continue the spirit of giving that he started with children in our community.”

Arkansas Medicaid awarded more than $4.5 million in performance bonus payments to 26 Arkansas hospitals as part of the annual Inpatient Quality Incentive (IQI) program. Individual hospitals were recognized at an awards ceremony during the annual Arkansas Medicaid Educational Conference luncheon, Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Embassy Suites Little Rock.
