CHI St. Vincent Morrilton has launched a partnership with Senior Life Solutions to better meet the unique needs of adults over 65 who are struggling with symptoms of depression and anxiety often related to aging. 

CHI St. Vincent Morrilton's Senior Life Solutions is an intensive outpatient group therapy program. Older adults may benefit from the Senior Life Solutions program if they are experiencing conditions that are common indicators of anxiety and depression in senior adults, including:

-Recently experienced a traumatic event

In observance of World AIDS Day, the public is invited to participate in free healthcare screenings from 4-8 p.m. on Nov. 30 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) 12th Street Health & Wellness Center, 4010 W. 12th St.

The center will provide free HIV testing. The testing will be available without needles, using a mouth swab. People also are invited to receive free health checks for blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose, as well as general physical examinations. Test results will be available at the event.

Healthy Active Arkansas (HAA) and the Junior League of Little Rock (JLLR) have partnered to offer a breastfeeding nook for breastfeeding moms as part of the 2017 Holiday House. The nook will be a comfortable, private space for mothers who need to breastfeed their children or pump while visiting the event. This is the first time a designated breastfeeding space has been offered as part of Holiday House.
