CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs announced a new partnership with the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine (ARCOM) in Fort Smith to develop new Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) and Graduate Medical Education (GME) training opportunities for ARCOM students and graduates.

CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs anticipates launching GME residencies in both family practice and internal medicine beginning in 2020. The partnership will strive to improve the overall quality of healthcare in the Arkansas.

A new website developed by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) connects families and healthcare professionals with information and resources about autism and other developmental disorders.

The endeavor is a result of the Community-based Autism Liaison and Treatment Project (CoBALT). The new site – www.CoBALTAR.org – aims to be a "one-stop shop" for families and providers.

The Arkansas Department of Health will present Stop the Bleed medical kits to the Arkansas Department of Education, a partner in the Arkansas Stop the Bleed program. Stop the Bleed trains bystanders to be immediate volunteer responders and to act quickly in the event of a trauma to save lives until professional emergency responders can arrive on the scene.

The event will take place on Feb. 6 at 9 a.m.in the 5th floor briefing room of the Arkansas Department of Health, 4815 W. Markham St. in Little Rock.
