Anthony Manning, MD, general surgeon, has joined the medical staff of Conway Regional Health System.
He will practice alongside Drs. Mike Stanton, Brock King, and William McColgan at Surgical Associates of Conway.
“We have known Tony since before his medical school training and we are very excited for him to join our practice,” said Stanton. “He just completed an exceptional training program at Baylor Scott & White and he will make an excellent addition to our team.”
The BHeart Healthy Screenings offered by Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock offer early detection to help prevent heart attacks, stroke, and vascular disease complications.
Offered the second and fourth Thursday of each month at the hospital, the heart screening is less than $100 and includes:
·CT calcium score (CT scan to look for signs of blocked heart arteries)
·Laboratory blood tests (Lipid panel – total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and diabetes testing – Hemoglobin A1C)
·Electrocardiogram (ECG)
Dr. Abdel Al Emam, an interventional cardiologist, has joined CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute.
Al Emam’s clinic is located at 10100 Kanis Road in Little Rock. He will also be seeing patients at the CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute clinic in Heber Springs, 301 Southridge Blvd.
Arkansas Heart Hospital recently announced the hiring of its new chief administrative officer, Jacob Robinson. Robinson is a native Arkansan and most recently served as the AVP and assistant administrator for Baptist Health in Conway.
Arkansas’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program has successfully rolled out new Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards. The cards make the store check-out process with WIC-approved items easier for both participants and vendors.
