Anthony Manning, MD, general surgeon, has joined the medical staff of Conway Regional Health System.
He will practice alongside Drs. Mike Stanton, Brock King, and William McColgan at Surgical Associates of Conway.
“We have known Tony since before his medical school training and we are very excited for him to join our practice,” said Stanton. “He just completed an exceptional training program at Baylor Scott & White and he will make an excellent addition to our team.”
Manning completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Central Arkansas and medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed a five- year surgical residency at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, Texas. He joined Surgical Associates in early August.
“I started at Conway Regional as a first assistant with the general surgeons and I thoroughly enjoyed working with the group,” said Manning. “I am very excited to come back to Conway Regional and serve the Central Arkansas area.”
For Manning, Conway “feels like home.” He said, “It is where my wife and I met and we began our marriage.” He met his wife, Hannah, during undergraduate work at UCA. They have two sons, ages three and five, and reside in Conway.
“As the Central Arkansas area continues to rapidly grow, we work to expand services, such as general surgery, to continue to serve the area and its increasing need for care,” said Rebekah Fincher, chief administrative officer for Conway Regional Health System. “We are very excited to welcome Dr. Manning. His ties to the community and Conway Regional make him the perfect addition to the group and our growing medical staff.”
