Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) and Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) present the inaugural Night Light Dash 5k on Feb. 24 from 6-9 pm.
The glow-in-the-dark event includes a 5k fun run throughout an illuminated course in downtown Houma, followed by a post-race finish festival at TGMC with food, music, and more. The family-friendly event encourages participants to wear neon attire and glow accessories.
Registration is now available online at nightlightdash.eventbrite.com or by calling (985) 873-4616. Special early bird pricing is available from now until Jan. 31 at $25 per person, but will increase to $30 effective Feb. 1. Race day registration is available.
Proceeds from the event will benefit The Foundation for TGMC to provide free cardiac screenings for people in the community. Screenings are an effective way to generate awareness, increase prevention, and assist with early diagnosis of cardiovascular disease.
