UAMS Sets February Adult Computer Classes

Four computer classes — Computer Basics, Introduction to Genealogy, Intermediate Computers and Intermediate Computers for the Mac — and one computer workshop — One-on-One Computer Support — will be taught in February for adults at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.

The courses will be presented by the Little Rock Digital Learning Center, a nonprofit volunteer group. Courses begin Feb. 1. The schedule is:

·One-on-One Computer Support, Feb. 1-28; Call for appointment.

·Introduction to Genealogy, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 1 - March 1, 10 a.m. to noon.

·Intermediate Computers for the Mac, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 1-20, 1-3 p.m.

·Computer Basics, Mondays and Wednesdays, Feb. 5-26, 10 a.m. to noon.

·Intermediate Computers, Mondays and Wednesdays, Feb. 5-26, 1-3 p.m.

Course fee for three- and four-week classes, which includes a manual, is $60. Other fees range from $20 to $35 for workshops, depending on the number of sessions and whether a manual is included. Classes are in Room 2156 at the UAMS Institute on Aging, 629 Jack Stephens Drive.
