Morrilton Presented Excellence in Patient Care Award

CHI St. Vincent Morrilton has been named the winner of an Excellence in Patient Care Award for outstanding performance in emergency department patient care. The award was presented recently at the 15th annual “What’s Right in Health Care” conference in Chicago.

To be considered for the award, an organization must rank in the 75th percentile or higher for overall emergency department satisfaction, as measured by patient surveys.

The award is presented by Studer Group, which works with healthcare providers to improve clinical, operational, and financial results.

“It’s a privilege to have our Emergency Department recognized as one of the best in the country for patient care,” said CHI St. Vincent Morrilton President Leslie “Bubba” Arnold. “Through our work with Studer Group, we have been able to enhance the quality of care we give to our community while maintaining that excellent relationship and service that our patients have come to expect.”

Excellence in Patient Care awards are presented annually to a select group of organizations from Studer Group’s partner base of hospitals, health systems, and physician organizations. To be eligible for an award, an organization must demonstrate outstanding performance and achievement in patient care, employee engagement, or physician engagement.

“Emergency departments are, quite literally, a lifeline for communities,” said Debbie Ritchie, president of Studer Group. “We’re proud to work with so many wonderful EDs that are there for patients in their most difficult times to provide comfort, reassurance, and, quite often, lifesaving care. The recipients of this award have much to feel good about—they are doing deeply meaningful work, and doing it well.”

The “What’s Right in Health Care” conference attracts administrative and clinical professionals, internationally. The conference aims to improve healthcare for patients, physicians, and staff through peer-to-peer sharing of leading practices. Presenters will share the strategies and tactics contributing to their top results in areas such as patient safety, emergency department wait times, and employee satisfaction.
