Today, May 9, representatives from the American Cancer Society and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will team up to make an announcement regarding cancer research in Arkansas.
Spokespersons for the announcement, slated for 11 a.m., will be American Cancer Society National Scientific Director, Charles Saxe, PhD; American Cancer Society Arkansas Director of Development, Sherri Jones; UAMS Chancellor, Dan Rahn, MD; UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Director, Peter Emanuel, MD; and cancer researchers.
The event will be held in the first floor lobby of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. Parking is available in Parking Deck 3 at Capitol and Cedar.
