Family Medicine Physician C’Asia James, MD, Joins UAMS Family Medical Center in El Dorado

C’Asia James, MD, has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Family Medical Center in El Dorado where she will offer comprehensive care for all ages with an additional focus on women’s health and obstetrics.

James completed a surgical obstetrics fellowship in June at the UAMS South Regional Campus in El Dorado during which she offered prenatal care, labor and delivery, cesarean sections, and postpartum care. She completed a one-year fellowship after graduating in 2025 from the Family Medicine Residency Program at UAMS Northwest Regional Campus in Fayetteville. She earned a medical degree from UAMS as well.

James is certified in eight areas including basic and advanced life support for cardiac, pediatric, trauma, and obstetric patients and is trained in Nexplanon, a long-term birth control inserted into the arm. She also has clinical experience as an emergency room physician for three hospitals in southeast Arkansas.

James will also train future family medicine physicians as an assistant professor with the UAMS South Family Medicine Rural Track Residency program.

She is accepting new patients at the UAMS South Family Medical Center in El Dorado.
