Mudassar Kamran, MD, Joins Baptist Health Neurosurgery Arkansas

Mudassar Kamran, MD, MSc, DPhil (Oxon) has joined the team at Baptist Health Neurosurgery Arkansas.

Kamran received a medical degree from King Edward Medical College, Lahore. He subsequently attended University of Oxford where he completed a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Surgery and an MSc in Neuroscience. He obtained residency training in Diagnostic Radiology and pursued fellowships in Diagnostic Neuroradiology and Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology (also known as endovascular neurosurgery or neurointerventional radiology) from Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University School of Medicine, in St. Louis.    

Kamran specializes in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology – image-guided, minimally invasive treatments of head, neck, and spine diseases. He is board- certified by the American Board of Radiology for diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology. 

Kamran has over 35 peer-reviewed publications and currently teaches courses in the Department of Radiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

“I want to provide the highest level of evidence-based, timely and cutting-edge clinical care to cerebrovascular patients,” Kamran said. 

Kamran speaks four languages: English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi.
