The Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) has elected Alan Wilson, MD, of Crossett to serve on its board of directors during its board meeting July 29.
Dr. Wilson is chief of surgery and a general surgeon at Ashley County Medical Center and a past president of the Arkansas Medical Society. He also serves as a member of the Crossett Water Commission and the Ashley County Airport Commission.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston-Downtown and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
