Coping with Dementia Focus of Free Lecture Series

A series of free lunchtime lectures focused on coping with dementia will be held on Wednesdays through Sept. 14 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.

Presented by the Reynolds Institute’s Walker Memory Center, each one-hour “Lunch and Learn — For Patients and Families” session will start at noon with a 20-minute lecture and followed by a 40-minute question and answer discussion.

While the lectures are targeted to caregiver concerns, dementia patients are welcome to attend these sessions with their family members. Attendees also may bring brown-bag lunches to the lectures or dine in the Generations Café before or after each event. A lecture will be presented every two weeks in Room 1180 on the ground floor of the Reynolds Institute. For more information, call 501-526-6884.
