University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) doctors and staff, and other local healthcare professionals, offered free medical foot care and shoes to the homeless at the annual Soles4Souls event. Participants received a foot bath, care for callouses, and a new pair of socks and shoes.
The event was held on Nov. 30 at the River City Ministries in North Little Rock.
Providing leadership for the event was Ruth Thomas, MD, foot and ankle surgeon and professor in the UAMS College of Medicine’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery
