EZ Spanish Media, parent company of KOLL – La Zeta 106.3 FM radio station in Little Rock and KSEC – La Zeta 95.7 in Springdale recently raised $167,888 for Arkansas Children’s.
KSEC – La Zeta 95.7 hosted the 12th annual Creadores de Milagros (Miracle Makers) Radiothon on April 29-May 1 in Springdale. KOLL – La Zeta 106.3, their sister station in Little Rock, hosted the ninth annual radiothon the same weekend. Both radiothons are designed for bilingual Hispanic listeners.
Throughout the last 12 years, EZ Spanish Media radiothons in Northwest and Central Arkansas have raised more than $2.8 million.
“We are grateful to our incredibly supportive listeners who continue to show their strong commitment to Arkansas Children’s every year through our radiothons,” said Eddie Vega, owner of EZ Spanish Media. “Thanks to the support of our communities, we are proud to champion children through such a meaningful contribution to Arkansas Children’s to help children be better today and healthier tomorrow.”
During the annual radiothon, patients and caregivers are interviewed throughout the day, putting into words the stories of children and families whose lives have been changed by Arkansas Children’s. Listeners are encouraged to call and make a donation to the hospital or become a “Miracle Maker” through ongoing monthly contributions.
“We are so thankful, year after year, for EZ Spanish Media leadership, their team and their listeners who continue to champion the mission of Arkansas Children’s by helping bring healthcare to every child in the state,” said Vanessa Delgadillo, executive director of philanthropy for Arkansas Children’s Foundation. “EZ Spanish Media has been a long-time Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partner. Their gift helps Arkansas Children’s reach all corners of the state.”
The gift from EZ Spanish Media and the Hispanic community is being designated to support both Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Arkansas Children’s Northwest.
