CHI St. Vincent announced that Dr. Syed Mustafa has joined the team of pulmonologists at the Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine Clinic in Hot Springs, and will begin seeing patients in July at the clinic, located at 1 Mercy Lane, Suite 401.
Mustafa attended medical school at the Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India, and completed a residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he also completed fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Mustafa has certifications in critical care medicine, internal medicine, and pulmonary disease from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
The CHI St. Vincent Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine Clinic diagnoses and treats breathing problems related to diseases of the lungs and bronchial tubes, which often involve the upper respiratory tract as well as the heart. Common conditions that the Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine Clinic treats include apnea, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, lung cancer, pneumonia, pulmonary hypertension, sleep disorders, snoring, and sleep apnea.
