David Caldwell, PharmD, Chosen for National Pharmacy Leadership Program

David Caldwell, PharmD, of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) recently was selected by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy for its Academic Leadership Fellows Program.

Caldwell, the new associate dean of academic affairs in the College of Pharmacy, was one of 24 members of college faculty chosen nationwide for the program.

The association’s Leadership Fellows Program supports the development of leaders in academic pharmacy and higher education.

From October of 2017 until recently, Caldwell was director of assessment and faculty development in the college. He is an associate professor in the college’s Department of Pharmacy Practice. He was an associate professor of clinical sciences and director of professional affairs at the University of Louisiana-Monroe (ULM) School of Pharmacy from 2014 - 2017.

In 2007, Caldwell completed a residency in ambulatory care and academia at the ULM School of Pharmacy and earned a doctorate in pharmacy there in 2006.
