CHI St. Vincent Morrilton Names Angie Longing New Director of Nursing

CHI St. Vincent Morrilton has named Angie Longing its new director of nursing. In addition to this new role, she will also continue serving as chief nursing officer for Conway Regional Health System.

Before serving as CNO and vice president of patient care services at Conway Regional, she was market director of hospital-based physician practices for CHI St. Vincent Medical Group and market director of nursing for CHI St. Vincent North.  She has served as executive director of nursing at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary and at CHI St. Vincent North. During her career at CHI St. Vincent, Longing has served as chief nursing officer at CHI St. Vincent Morrilton, where she began her career as a labor and delivery staff nurse.

“With Angie’s history of excellence with CHI St. Vincent, there’s no better choice for the role of director of nursing,” said Leslie “Bubba” Arnold, president of CHI St. Vincent Morrilton. “We are excited for her continued leadership and service to our health care ministry.”

Longing has a Master of Arts degree in Health Services Management from Webster University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Central Arkansas. She achieved her Nurse Executive Board Certification from the American Nursing Credentialing Center in 2016. In 2013, she was awarded the Sister Margaret Vincent Blandford Award for Leadership Excellence.

At CHI St. Vincent Morrilton, Longing will help lead the state’s first and only “Pathway to Excellence” hospital, so designated for its commitment to quality nursing standards and exemplary patient care.
