The Arkansas State Crime Laboratory has hired Theodore (Ted) Brown, MD, for the position of chief medical examiner. He begins the role on Sept. 13.
Brown is a board-certified anatomic, clinical, and forensic pathologist at Western Michigan University, Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine (WMed) in Kalamazoo, Mich. He serves as a deputy medical examiner and provides medical examiner services to multiple counties in western and northern Michigan and northern Indiana. Brown also serves an associate professor at Western Michigan School of Medicine.
His current roles as a forensic pathologist at WMed also include medical director of the Department of Pathology and program director for the Forensic Pathology Fellowship Program.
