Arkansas Mission of Mercy (ArMOM) is holding its annual two-day free dental clinic at the Conway Expo Center April 12-13. The event is made possible by the presenting sponsors Arkansas State Dental Association and Delta Dental of Arkansas.
ArMOM provides dental care to relieve the pain of underserved Arkansans, many of whom are from working families and do not have access to or cannot afford dental insurance. At the clinic, dental services are provided free of charge by a host of volunteers and sponsors. Over the past 18 years, tens of thousands of patients have been treated thanks to the support of dedicated volunteers.
“It is an honor to treat thousands of community members in need every year,” said ArMOM Executive Director Terry Fiddler, DDS. “We know that without this free clinic, many individuals would have no hope of receiving care. We’re inviting those who would like to volunteer to join us in this mission to change lives.”
Approximately 900 volunteer positions need to be filled. There are dental and medical volunteer positions as well as non-dental/non-medical positions available. In addition, AR-licensed dental personnel can receive two hours CE credit per half-day shift worked.
