ACH Names Kruger VP of Primary Care Services

Arkansas Children’s Hospital has named Ann Kruger, RN, MBA, to the position of vice president of Primary Care Services. The announcement was made by Arkansas Children’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Chanda Cashen Chacón, MPH, FACHE.

Kruger comes to Arkansas Children’s Hospital from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she served nearly 20 years as the director of Administration and Finance in the Department of Pediatrics.

“Kruger is a tremendous addition to our Primary Care Services leadership team,” said Cashen Chacón. “As vice president, she will help elevate Primary Care Services and the essential role it plays in hospital operations, which comes at a critical time as we expand services and improve access to our patients and families through our statewide network of care.”

Kruger is responsible for collaborating with clinic directors, medical directors, and hospital leadership to develop, implement and lead primary care delivery systems/processes. Through the Primary Care Services structure and as a leader on the Primary Care Council, she will provide management oversight of high quality, patient-centered, cost-effective and integrated clinical programs.

Prior to the University of Texas Health Science Center, Kruger served as assistant vice president for Corporate Reengineering, New Service Development and Strategic Planning for CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care Corporation/Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.

She holds an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Baylor University. She is a member of HealthCare Financial Management Association and the Association of Administrators in Academic Pediatrics.
