Drs. Ryan D. Gholson, Jeffrey B. Manley, and Charla R. Morgan recently joined Washington Regional’s OB hospitalist group.

OB hospitalists provide care for laboring patients at Washington Regional’s Women and Infants Center until their regular OB/GYN can arrive. They also deliver babies of patients who do not have a regular OB/GYN or if the patient’s regular OB/GYN cannot be present.

Baptist Health Family Clinic-Hazen-A Service of Baptist Health Medical Center-Stuttgart recently welcomed Alison Kee, APRN. Kee also currently sees patients at Baptist Health Family Clinic-Brinkley.

Kee, a Hazen native, received a medical education from Walden University.

“I have always wanted to practice in my hometown and be able to give back to my community,” Kee says.

January is Cervical Health Awareness Month. The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) BreastCare program coordinates efforts with a statewide network of providers offering no-cost cervical and breast cancer screenings and follow-up services.

Baptist Health Community Outreach invites women between the ages of 40 and 60 to participate in Weight-Wise, a 12-week weight loss program.

Sessions will be held on Tuesdays between Feb. 6-April 23 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Baptist Health Community Outreach, 10117 Kanis Road in Little Rock.

This free program is facilitated by a registered dietitian nutritionist and focuses on changing lifestyle behaviors to promote weight loss. Participants learn to set achievable goals, increase confidence, solve problems and build group social support.
