In honor of its new partnership, Baptist Health and CareLink are hosting a community drop-in open house on Friday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Complete Health with PACE – a joint venture that provides coordinated care and services for seniors. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m., and tours will be available anytime afterward until 6 p.m.
Joseph G. Chacko, MD, professor of ophthalmology and neurology in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine, was invested Sept. 26 in the Sally McSpadden Boreham Chair in Ophthalmology.
According to the Arkansas Department of Health, commercial labs are now able to perform Zika IgM MAC-Elisa testing. Doctors seeking testing for patients for pregnancy planning purposes should be aware of this option. It is still recommended that pregnant women (regardless of symptoms) or any person seeking testing for Zika virus due to symptoms after having traveled to Zika-endemic areas access testing at the ADH.
