Last week, Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) and Conway Regional Health System (CRHS) announced an affiliation agreement that creates a pediatric nursery alliance between the hospitals. The Arkansas Children’s Nursery Alliance puts into place coordination of care between neonatologists at ACH’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and physicians in Conway Regional’s NICU and newborn nursery to help further improve the quality of newborn care.
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) says it is the first hospital in Arkansas to implement a program that will give new parents a keepsake of their child’s birth and an assurance of the newborn’s safety.
Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge announced the arrest of a Malvern woman. Marquita Morgan, 33, was arrested and released from the Pulaski County Detention Facility on a $2,500 bond. She is charged with one count of Medicaid fraud, a Class C felony. She is accused of billing over $700 for services not rendered in 2015.
This case was referred to the Attorney General’s office by the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General.

Last week, physicians and executive staff at Arkansas Urology, as well as local dignitaries including representatives from Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge’s office and Congressman French Hill’s office, participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Arkansas Urology Ambulatory Surgery Center.
