The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) received a $175,000 grant from the Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas to support GoVision AR: Mobile Vision Screening for Underserved Children Across Arkansas.

GoVision AR, a project of the UAMS Department of Ophthalmology, aims to address the significant disparities in access to vision care and unmet vision care needs for underserved children in Arkansas through the implementation of a mobile vision clinic program.

A free, public forum on Parkinson’s disease and Parkinson’s plus syndromes will be held April 21 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

The ninth annual Parkinson’s Symposium will take place from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. in the Fred Smith auditorium on the 12th floor of the Jackson T. Stephens Neurosciences & Spine Institute. A virtual option is available for those who cannot attend in person.

Psychiatric nurse practitioner Ashley Fulks recently joined the team at Baptist Health Behavioral Services Clinic-Little Rock.

Fulks received an education from Liberty University and Chamberlain University. She is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

The honors were presented by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through its DoNation campaign.
