W. Brooks Gentry, MD, chair of the Department of Anesthesiology in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), was invested Dec. 6 as the inaugural holder of the Carmelita S. Pablo, MD, Endowed Chair in Anesthesiology.

Fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist John E. Savage, MD, has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He sees patients in the second floor clinics at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.
Arkansas Medicaid awarded more than $4.5 million in performance bonus payments to 26 Arkansas hospitals as part of the annual Inpatient Quality Incentive (IQI) program. Individual hospitals were recognized at an awards ceremony during the annual Arkansas Medicaid Educational Conference luncheon, Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Embassy Suites Little Rock.
