Dr. Gallaher, a board certified neurosurgeon who performs neck and back spinal procedures, exclusively, will join the Conway Regional Neuroscience Center and begin practice on Oct. 30. He will practice alongside neurologists Tim Freyaldenhoven, MD, and Keith Schluterman, MD, as well as Elana Russell, APRN.

Kourtney Matlock, assistant vice president at Baptist Health, was awarded the C.E. Melville Young Administrator of the Year Award during the recent Arkansas Hospital Association’s annual convention. This award is named for the late C.E. Melville, a long-time hospital administrator, and is presented by the Arkansas Health Executives Forum.

Dr. Don Garner, assistant vice president of clinical services at Baptist Health, was awarded the Louise Pope Lifetime Achievement Award from the Arkansas Association of Health System Pharmacists.

This award recognizes a member of the association who has a history of continual contributions to their place of employment and, most importantly, to the pharmacy profession.

Scare up some fun this Halloween at the Tiny Hands Monster Bash. The costume party fundraiser is scheduled for 6:30-11 p.m. on Oct. 27 at Next Level Events, located at 1400 W. Markham St. in Little Rock’s Union Station.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Family Home and the UAMS neonatal intensive care unit.

The evening’s entertainment will include live music, dancing, a silent auction, and hors d’oeuvres. Beer, wine, and “monster juice” cocktails are included in the ticket price; a cash bar also will be available.
