Keith Olsen, PharmD, FCCM, dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), recently was named chancellor of the American College of Critical Care Medicine (ACCM), becoming the first pharmacist to lead the national organization.

Two computer class — Computer Basics and Intermediate Computers — and two computer workshops — One-on-One Computer Support and Mail Merge — will be taught in April for adults at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.
The courses will be presented by the Little Rock Digital Learning Center, a nonprofit volunteer group. Courses begin April 2. The schedule is:

The public is invited to the Society for the History of Medicine and Health Professions’ annual dinner and lecture from 6-9 p.m. on April 12 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
The meeting will be held in room 1180/1190 of the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging, 629 Jack Stephens Drive. Parking is available in the Institute on Aging’s parking lot next to the building.
Methodist Family Health will saddle up its stable of stick ponies this May to help raise funds to rebuild the lives of Arkansas children and families. Southern Silks, the organization’s signature fundraiser, is set for May 5 at 6 p.m. at the Metroplex Event Center at 10800 Col. Glenn Rd. in Little Rock.
