Science Café Little Rock, co-sponsored by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), will hold its next public forum, Up in the Air About Drones?, on June 26. Panelists will discuss the use of drones – unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) – in crop monitoring, disaster operations, photography, search and rescue, express shipping, and more.

Science Café will be from 7-9 p.m. at Hibernia Irish Tavern, 9700 N. Rodney Parham Road.

Researchers at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) call for revision to the Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program to reduce unintended consequences that could threaten the healthcare delivery system in the Mississippi Delta region in a new study published in The American Journal of Managed Care

The program provides financial incentives for hospitals to deliver higher quality care and higher value care by reducing Medicare reimbursements to hospitals with higher than average readmission rates for selected conditions.
