Whitney Philamlee, MD, and Ben Burkett, MD, have joined the medical staff of Conway Regional Health System.
Philamlee completed a residency in medicine/pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and also holds a medical degree from UAMS. A native of Jonesboro, she achieved a bachelor’s degree from UCA.
Science Café Little Rock, co-sponsored by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), will hold its next public forum, The Science of Language, on Sept. 25. Panelists will discuss language peculiarities like word order and meaning, alternate communication methods, cultural impacts of language, and more.
CipherHealth, a leader in patient experience and engagement, announced a partnership with Conway Regional Medical Center to implement an automated outreach solution for all patients discharged from the hospital.
Conway Regional will use the technology to communicate with patients after they leave the hospital to ensure a successful recovery at home. Nationally, an estimated 20 percent of patients report that they encounter an issue after leaving hospitals, which can often result in an unnecessary readmission or a more serious event.
CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs announced that Seth Barnes, MD has joined the staff of the CHI St. Vincent Primary Care Clinic – Hot Springs South Campus.
The clinic is located at 1662 Higdon Ferry Road, Suite 200, in Hot Springs.
Angela Norman, DNP, has been named the director of the Centers on Aging, a program of the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
Norman succeeds Claudia Beverly, PhD, RN, who retired last year.
