A call center aimed at providing proactive postpartum help to Arkansans will expand by the end of this year, intent on reaching every new mother in the days after she gives birth.
CHI St. Vincent announces that CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs has received the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet with Distinction Honor. Only 35 hospitals nationwide have received the distinction.

The UAMS Institute for Digital Health and Innovation’s Brain Injury Program will host a virtual workshop on Aug. 28 to connect anyone affected by a traumatic brain injury (TBI) to resources and support.

President Donald Trump’s freeze on $8 billion of congressionally appropriated funding to the National Institutes of Health was illegal, the Government Accountability Office reported Tuesday.
Orders Trump signed in the early days of his return to office and related administration directives violated the Impoundment Control Act by failing to spend money that Congress, which holds the power of the purse under the Constitution, had approved, the GAO report said.
Richard B. Chastain, MD, joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) as a family medicine physician at the UAMS Health Family Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Chastain is an alumnus of the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus’s family medicine residency program.
