ANX I ETY IN CHILDREN by JAYNE BELLANDO, PhD and RACHEL WINGFIELD, PhD Arkansas Children‘s Hospital HEALTHCARE JOURNAL OF ARKANSAS I JAN / FEB 2023 17 Jayne Bellando, PhD , a pediatric psychologist, has worked in the Dennis Developmental Center at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (DDC) for 16 years and is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Along with her clinical work, she is on the autism diagnostic teams at the DDC, the primary developmental diagnostic clinic in the state affiliated with UAMS. Bellando is a co-director of the Community Based Autism Liaison and Treatment Project (CoBALT), a program designed to help cut the wait time for children and families to be screened for developmental and autism concerns in the state. This is a collaborative project with UAMS and the Arkansas Division of Developmental Services. She is also one of the co-directors of Healthy Child Care Arkansas (HCCAR), a state contract designed to train and provide best practice information to childcare providers. Rachel Wingfield, PhD , a pediatric psychologist, does clinical work at the Dennis Development Center (DDC) and outpatient clinics at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock and is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Wingfield’s clinical work includes pediatric feeding disorders, behavior management, sleep issues, and behavioral health in primary care. Wingfield also evaluates children and adolescents for psychological conditions and autismspectrumdisorder.
