ONE ON ONE Theodore “Ted” Brown, MD Chief Medical Examiner Arkansas State Crime Laboratory Department of Public Safety Theodore “Ted” Brown, MD, a board-certified anatomic, clinical and forensic pathologist, is the new chief medical examiner at the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Prior to joining the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, he was a deputy medical examiner in Michigan. He grew up in Indiana and graduated from the University of Notre Dame. He completed medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine, pathology residency at the University of Michigan and forensic pathology fellowship at the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner Department. On the national level, he serves as the chair of the Membership and Credentials Committee for the National Association of Medical Examiners and vice chair of the Medicolegal Death Investigation Subcommittee for the Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science.
