When the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic hit, there was one thing that gave us a glimmer of hope in those dark days: very few of our children were dying from it. While the public has learned a lot recently about the virus and its mutations, those of us in the healthcare field know one thing — viruses adapt — and the Delta variant transformed to be better at attacking and killing our young.
