The program identifies, recognizes, and honors the best employers in Arkansas, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce, and businesses. “It’s an incredible honor to have CHI St. Vin- cent Hot Springs recognized as one of the best places to work in Arkansas, in 2019 and again in 2020,” said CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs President Dr. Douglas Ross. “This is a testament not only to the clarity of our healing ministry and com- mitment to delivering compassionate care in our community, but also the unwavering support of our staff and healthcare professionals to execut- ing that mission.” The 2020 Best Places to Work in Arkansas pro- gram recognized 47 companies. Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey pro- cess to determine the Best Places to Work in the state. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, prac- tices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores deter- mined the top companies and the final rankings. Best Companies Group managed the overall reg- istration and survey process in Arkansas, analyzed the data and determined the final rankings. All of the 2020 Best Places to Work in Arkan- sas winners will be celebrated and category win- ners including the Benchmark Award winner will be revealed at a special live-streamed event fea- turing company representatives in studio as well those joining via virtual watch parties on Nov. 12, and then published in a special supplement of Arkansas Business on Nov. 16. Baptist Health Foundation Receives Donation for Hydrosurgery Technology Baptist Health-Little Rock recently introduced new technology to the state that was provided by Donna Terrell’s Yoga Warriors Fighting Colon Cancer organization. The ERBEJET 2 is a new dimension in hydrosur- gery that allows for precise, selective tissue sepa- ration gently by waterjet. Blood vessels and nerves remain intact up to a certain pressure. The ERBE- JET 2 dissects sharply and precisely with minimal trauma to structures such as vessels, nerves, and ducts. “The preservation of structures is important where cutting of vessels is common, such as early cancer resection,” said Ali Khan, MD, Bap- tist Health gastroenterologist, who was instru- mental in selecting the technology. “This device allows micro-focused dissection, making it the ulti- mate tool for difficult tumor removal such as in the colon. An important benefit is the potential for blood loss is minimized due to the unique vessel- sparing capability during surgery.” Conway Regional Health SystemAcquires Renaissance Women’s Center Conway Regional Health System has acquired Renaissance Women’s Center.
