He received a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth Uni- versity in Richmond, Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Project SEARCH at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith Honors Graduates The inaugural graduating class of Project SEARCH at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith and their leaders gather with their diplomas May 14. Proj- ect SEARCH, an ACCESS Initiative in partnership with Arkansas Rehabilitation Services, trains young adults with developmental disabilities for com- petitive employment opportunities. The group of 11 interns spent nine months working in various departments at the hospital. CHI St. Vincent Appoints Barbara Halford as Director of Strategic Planning CHI St. Vincent has appointed Barbara Halford, MBA, PT, as director of strategic planning with responsibilities to include oversight of day-to-day strategic planning functions for entities across CHI St. Vincent. Halford joined CHI St. Vincent in 2016 as a planning analyst in strategy and business devel- opment. She quickly developed strong relation- ships across the system and provided complex analysis and recommendations to senior leaders and board members. Prior to joining CHI St. Vin- cent, Halford held leadership positions at Arkan- sas Children’s Hospital in physical therapy and with the Little Rock School District overseeing physical therapy, occupational therapy, and spe- cial education services, as well as serving as a spe- cial assistant to the superintendent. Halford holds a Master of Business Administra- tion from the University of Arkansas and a Bach- elor of Science in Physical Therapy from the Uni- versity of Central Arkansas. Baptist Health Names Interim Administrator for Baptist Health-Hot Spring County Baptist Health has named Tony Hardage as the interim vice president and administrator for Bap- tist Health-Hot Spring County. A native of Bismarck, Ark., Hardage gradu- ated from Henderson State University and later obtained a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the Uni- versity of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. Hardage’s career with Baptist Health started in 1996 as a staff pharmacist at Baptist Health-Arka- delphia. He later worked as director of pharmacy and led daily operations of outpatient services and the hospital-based rural health clinic opera- tions. He has also served in numerous leadership roles and governing boards of local and statewide organizations. Hardage will continue to oversee Baptist Health- Arkadelphia as assistant vice president when he takes on his new interim duties in Malvern, and will divide his time between the two hospitals. Sheila Williams, the current vice president and administrator at Baptist Health-Hot Spring County, will be taking on a new role at Baptist Health effec- tive May 20, to serve as the executive director of its PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Complete Health with PACE is a joint venture that offers community-based health- care and services to the elderly. Mercy Hospital Fort Smith Adds Obstetric Hospitalists Mercy Hospital Fort Smith has added a new ser- vice to ensure that pregnant women have access to the care they need. Mercy Hospital Fort Smith is launching an obstetric hospitalist program that will provide an experienced team of board-certified obstetricians 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
