Annual Walmart, Sam’s Club Campaign Raises More than $1M for Arkansas Children’s

More than $1 million was raised for Arkansas Children’s by 157 Walmart and Sam’s Club locations, including Walmart’s corporate headquarters, during the nationwide Walmart and Sam’s Club campaign.

These participating stores were the number one fundraising group out of all Walmart and Sam’s Club locations in the country.

The campaign ran from June 28-July 25 and benefits Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Arkansas Children’s Northwest, the state’s local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals.

Since 1987, the Walmart and Sam’s Club campaign has raised more than $1 billion for the 170 CMN Hospitals across the United States and Canada to provide lifesaving equipment and research, sustain top therapy programs, and provide charitable care. In total, this annual campaign has raised $42 million for Arkansas Children’s.

“Walmart and Sam’s Club customers, members and associates continue to impact their local community every day, and we have seen that for the last 34 years,” said Clark Sweat, executive vice president, chief operating officer of CMN Hospitals. "We are grateful for their long-standing partnership with us."

The Walmart and Sam’s Club campaign encouraged customers and members to donate at the register, through Walmart.com, and the Walmart app. For those still interested in donating, visit www.HelpKidsLiveHealthy.org

“The partnership with Walmart and Sam’s Club plays a vital role in the work we do at Arkansas Children’s,” said Enid Olvey, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Arkansas Children’s Foundation. “Thanks to their generous and continued support, we are able to continue advancing Arkansas Children’s mission to make children better today and healthier tomorrow.”
