Ticket sales are underway for “All That Jazz,” the annual CARTI Foundation jazz-themed fundraiser benefiting Arkansas cancer patients. The event will be held starting at 6 p.m. on Sept. 16 at Next Level Events in Little Rock.

Billed as a casual evening of food, fun, and an open bar, the fundraiser will feature live music by Drummerboy Infinity, along with live and silent auctions.  Presenting sponsor for “All That Jazz” is Legacy Termite and Pest Control.

Arkansas is facing a prescription drug abuse epidemic, with 40 percent of Arkansas teens reporting that they have tried prescription drugs. “I have made it my mission to bring critical, life-saving prescription drug abuse prevention education to high schools across Arkansas, all at no cost to schools,” said Leslie Rutledge, Arkansas Attorney General.

Since Aug. 18, the ADH has received, and is investigating, approximately 30 reports of people who are ill with what is likely a foodborne illness. To date, there are four confirmed cases of salmonella. At this point, epidemiological information suggests that the Chuck Wagon Restaurant in Stuttgart, Ark. is the likely site of the outbreak.
